An emergency alarm is typically viewed as an ‘older person’s device’ but it can actually become a lifeline for many other people. Those with debilitating illnesses benefit just as much from such a system.

Age Concern’s Personal Alarm Service, is available to anyone and by no means are all of our customers’ elderly. 40,000 people rely on our service to remain independent and live as normal a life as possible.

Many of our customers have a physical disability, or a chronic condition. Some are recovering from illness, while others are more concerned for their security than their health. 

We have over 5,000 customers who suffer from diabetes, over 2,500 who suffer from asthma and epilepsy. All of these people enjoy the peace of mind that their Age Concern personal alarm provides them.
