Self Connection Information
  • Charging units / base units for cordless telephones: Please keep these a distance away from the Alarm Unit as they may cause interference over the speech link.
  • Answer Phones / BT 1571: These may impede the speed with which we are able to get to you, and may result in operators calling out a contact when the Alarm Button has been pressed accidentally.
  • Internet users: Keyholders are advised to have a dedicated line for the internet use, enabling operators to call through. However, if connected correctly the Alarm Unit will dial out across the internet in use: The alarm unit must be connected directly into the B.T. socket, then a two-way adaptor fitted into the back of the alarm unit; one port for the telephone and one for the internet connection.
  • Broadband Internet Connection: Your Alarm Unit should be connected to a Micro filter supplied by the service provider and if connected correctly will work very well. Age Concern Aid Call can also supply Micro filters at a cost, please refer to Pricing Information .
  •  If you have a fault on your telephone line, your alarm unit will not work. If possible please telephone from a neighbour or mobile phone to advise Customer Services on: 01364 651555, Monday - Friday between 9am - 5.30pm.
