Digitally Enhanced Cordless Telephones

Digitally enhanced cordless telephones (DECT) provides text alerts similar to alphanumeric pages, two way voice communication both internally amongst staff and externally, PC text messaging to handsets and staff attack buttons on all handsets.

The DECT handsets also have the added benefit of combining two way voice communications, both internally amongst staff and externally if required.

Features

  • Secure Dedicated Wireless Frequency - DECT is a licenced frequency with predefined channels of speech providing excellent speech quality.
  • Reliable Radio Transmissions - Because the managers transmission’s DECT, other transmitters cannot interfere with the installation and cannot be affected by other types of equipment.
  • Battery Life - Extensive battery life of 15 hours talk time and 150 hours standby.  Often handset will last a single charge over a number of shifts.  Charge time is within a couple of hours.
  • Integrated alert messaging - Alerts activated in the nurse call system are displayed on the handsets as messages.
  • Robust, durable design - Both our handsets are dust and water resistant according to IP54 classification – essential for staff working in a demanding environment.  The shape of the handset with no corners prevents damage when dropped.
  • Graphic display with time and date - The illuminated display offers clear presentation of alert messages.
  • Hands free - Allows activation of a hands free speech function when required.
  • Answer button on headset - This feature allows users to answer with the headset button when the handset rings.
  • Built in vibrator - Allows staff to be alerted about calls without disturbing anyone.
  • Telephone book - Up to 200 numbers may be stored in memory and there is a redial function for the last 20 numbers.
  • Ergonomic Key Pad and shape - All the buttons are designed such that numbers can be dialled without accidentally pressing other keys.
 

Additional features

Lone worker - If a person is attacked or falls to the floor for any reason, an emergency man down alarm activates in the Aid Call Alert system.

Pull cord alarm - The pull cord alarm is ideal for protection against theft, personal attack or for use in any distress situation.

Personnel locating - The Aid Call Alert system locates staff on demand. Positioning beacons placed according to need throughout the facility log the location of the person as they move from place to place.
